About
Tyler is not a traditional tech guy. He grew up in corn country, learning business systems + tech on a circuitous path through sales, consulting, software development, and even starting + selling a home service business. He's equally comfortable with C-suite, IT, and the guys in the warehouse.
With the birth of AI coding, Tyler's wide-ranging tech generalist background suddenly became a superpower. He gets deep in the trenches of a business, evaluates how people work — with and without the right tech in place — then reinstalls workflows, integrating AI + automation that feels intuitive, purpose-built, and convenient instead of frustrating.

FAQ
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Someday we might expand the team, but for now, you're working directly with Tyler.
Why retainer instead of hourly?
The hourly model stinks — it incentivizes consultants to work slower to drive up billable hours, while clients want results ASAP (who wouldn't?). The retainer model encourages real partnership — the consultant becomes an embedded member of the client's team for a set period of time and both sides work together to achieve as much as possible during their time together.
What industries / types of companies do you work with?
Any really. We've worked with companies of every size and shape — manufacturing, retail, events management, logistics, commercial + home services, real estate, and more. Our work touches every corner of a business: data, automation, sales, marketing, management, operations, etc.
What if our company has never/barely used AI or automation?
Great — no time like the present. We'll start with a full walkthrough of all the options on the market, then recommend the AI + automation setup we think would be the best fit for your company. We believe less-is-more regardless of where you fall on the tech spectrum.
What subscriptions will we need?
We design systems around the tools that are already core to your team's workflow and aim to minimize subscription bloat — we'll only introduce new tools that are necessary for what we're trying to achieve. Our proprietary company AI workspace, Mug, is a subscription product that is involved in nearly every project, but fear not — it's a flat rate per workspace, not per seat.
What tech do you use?
Whatever the job calls for. The foundation of nearly every project is Mug, our own proprietary AI + automation workspace for companies. It's secure, encrypted, and isolated in Cloudflare. Mug includes a built-in AI agent that can use models like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, + others.
Mug connects to any software with an API and syncs data to/from sources like Airtable, Supabase, Salesforce, HubSpot, PostgreSQL, + more. We build custom plugins in Mug to do special things only your company would want, and we also write completely custom software with Claude Code.
Mug powers automated processes similar to Zapier, Make, + n8n, and we also build integrations directly on those platforms. We often integrate common workplace tools like Slack, Notion, Microsoft Teams, and Google Workspace.
What does it look like when we start working together?
- We invoice upfront bi-weekly or monthly (your preference) via Stripe (payable by card or bank transfer).
- We'll schedule 1-2 meetings each week to collaborate on system design, sync on progress, test prototypes, collect feedback, and confirm next steps. These meetings can vary between core stakeholders and others across the company who will be using the systems we're building.
- Between meetings, we'll stay in sync via email and Slack (if you use it). We send written/video updates on what we're working on so it doesn't all have to wait until our next meeting.
What if we want to stop/pause early?
No problem. Invoices pause when we pause. If we haven't resumed after 90 days, retainer is canceled and final invoice is issued to adjust to retroactive rate (e.g. 6mo retainer canceled after 6wks, should have been 1mo retainer weekly rate x 6wks, invoice for the difference).
How do we get started?
